Microsoft has been studying artificial intelligence for 25 years. It said that the field of artificial intelligence is developing rapidly, and more industries will be involved in the future, so new laws and regulations will be needed to manage it.
Microsoft believes that companies that manufacture and sell artificial intelligence devices will need to be held responsible for the harm caused by "irrational behavior," including things like self-driving cars that cause injury or death in dangerous ways.
And with the improvement of artificial intelligence and automation technology, the number of skilled workers continues to grow, and companies need to take responsibility for their employees and protect their legitimate interests.
Microsoft is also trying to get rid of new challenges that new technologies may bring, such as unemployment caused by new technologies, people injured by faults or buggy algorithms, etc.
Recently, Microsoft is advocating changes to labor laws to properly classify workers and distribute benefits such as health care and retirement plans to people like Uber drivers or full-time delivery.
Microsoft came up with these ideas in the book "Future Computing", which is 149 pages long.
The book reads: "The electronics industry has benefited from technological advances, and some employees have not received the benefits and guarantees they deserve. Companies that do n’t realize the importance of protecting workers, "Brands bear additional risk losses and may also face court enforcement."
